lldpad software package provides Link Layer Discovery Protocol Implementation (Runtime), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lldpad
lldpad is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lldpad package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lldpad *
You will get with lldpad package name, version, architecture and description in a table
